100 people injured as a result of earthquake in Japan
Almaty. July 24. Kazakhstan Today - Nearly 100 people have been injured as a result of a violent earthquake in the north of Japan. The earthquake has caused tailings and landslides. Thousands of people have remained without electricity, the agency reports referring to Associated Press.
According to Meteorological Agency of Japan, 6.8 magnitude earthquake occurred after midnight with the epicenter of approximately 100 kilometers from the coast Ivate, in 450 kilometers to the north of Tokyo.
At least 99 people received injures as a result of the earthquake. Many were trapped under blockage and received injuries due to broken glasses. However, according to the national police agency, there have been no fatal injures. According to preliminary data, more than 8 thousand houses have been completely or partially destroyed.

Second wave of floods hits N Kazakhstan region
Due to the second wave of flooding, water level rose again with the overflow at 278 centimeters having increased by 21 centimeters," Kanat Duzelbayev said.
A number of villages in Kyzylzhar district and micro-districts Podgora, Kozhevenny, Zarechny, Kossogor are still under water, with 2,886 residential buildings affected by the flood. A total of 14,388 people have been evacuated in the region, with 1,037 accommodated in temporary shelters. All of them are provided with meals and essential supplies. 149 families have already received lump-sum social payment. 470 tons of humanitarian aid were sent to the region from Astana, Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Pavlodar, and Akmola regions, as well as from Russia’s Omsk," said Duzelbayev.
