21st inter-confessional meeting for peace finished in Naples

The 21st inter-religious meeting for peace with participation of the delegation of the members of the parliament and religious figures of Kazakhstan headed by the chairman of the Senate, the chairman of the secretariat of the congress of the leaders of world and traditional religions Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev finished on October 23 in Naples, the press service of the Senate of the Parliament informed the agency.

Kazakhstan Today - The 21st inter-religious meeting for peace with participation of the delegation of the members of the parliament and religious figures of Kazakhstan headed by the chairman of the Senate, the chairman of the secretariat of the congress of the leaders of world and traditional religions Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev finished on October 23 in Naples, the press service of the Senate of the Parliament informed the agency.

The closing ceremony of the meeting has come to the end with signing of the address in the name of peace, which was signed by the chairmen of the Kazakhstan religious associations, the message states.

Prayer in the name of peace with participation of Papa Benedict XVI and the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano took part on the square of National voting.

According to the press release, the meeting of the chairman of the Senate K. Tokayev with the President of Italy G. Napolitano, who highly estimated the Kazakhstan model of society of interethnic and inter-religious consent and noted great importance of the congresses of the leaders of world and traditional religions conducted by Kazakhstan, took place in Naples.

K. Tokayev, in his turn, emphasized the importance of the 21st inter-religious dialogue and noted high level of organization of the meeting.

According to the press service of the Senate, the Kazakhstan delegation is in Rome, where K. Tokayev will hold a number of bilateral meetings.
