CRRF CSTO exercises planned for August-September of 2009

The exercises of Collective Rapid Response Forces (CRRF) of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) are planned for August-September of 2009. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrey Denisov, informed today in Moscow at the session of Vice Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Defense and Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO member countries, the agency reports citing RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

Almaty. May 7. Kazakhstan Today - The exercises of Collective Rapid Response Forces (CRRF) of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) are planned for August-September of 2009. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Andrey Denisov, informed today in Moscow at the session of Vice Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Defense and Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO member countries, the agency reports citing RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

According to RBC, Vice Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Defense, Finance and Vice Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO member states coordinated the project of the main directions of activities of the CSTO states regarding formation of the system of collective response to extreme situations till 2012.

According to CSTO press secretary, Vitaly Strugovets, according to the accepted project, the project of the plan of actions of the CSTO member states regarding formation of the system of collective response to emergencies will be developed up to the end of 2009.

This plan will be coordinate by the leaders of the CSTO member states and approved in the CSTO authorized bodies in 2010. Practical realization of the plan is planned for 2011-2012.

The members of Collective Security Treaty Organization are Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
