EDB Council session to be held in St. Petersburg

The session of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Council will take place in November, 2009 in St. Petersburg, the agency reports citing the bank's press service.

Almaty. July 14. Kazakhstan Today - The session of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Council will take place in November, 2009 in St. Petersburg, the agency reports citing the bank's press service.

According to the press service, the session of the Council of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) took place last Friday in Almaty. The Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation, Victor Khristenko, the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan, Bolat Zhamishev, the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Aset Isekeshev, and Vice Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia, Joseph Isayan, took part in its work.

"The Council considered the course of introduction of the amendments to the bank development plan for 2008 - 2010 in connection with approval of the program of actions to maintain the work of EDB in conditions of the world financial and economic crisis, heard the report of the board of the bank for January - May, 2009 and also made the decisions necessary for effective realization of the functions of the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis fund," the press service informed.

According to EDB, the Council approved Open Company Deloitte as an external auditor of the bank, following the results of its activity for 2009.

"The next session of the council of the bank is planned to be held in November, 2009 in St. Petersburg," the press service informed.
