Kazakhstan to render Haiti humanitarian help - $100 thousand
Astana. February 1. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan will render Haiti humanitarian help at the rate of $100 thousand, the agency reports citing the press service of the Emergency Ministry.
"The government of Kazakhstan has made a decision to render humanitarian help at the rate of $100 thousand to the citizens of the Republic of Haiti, injured in a serious earthquake, by the assignment of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, the press service informed.
The Ministry of Emergency and Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan are working on the question of sending financial help.
As informed earlier, Haiti was hit by a series of earthquakes, the strongest of which was 7 points under the Richter scale, on January 13, 2010. The earthquake has destroyed many buildings in Port-au-Prince. As of January 23, the number of victims of the earthquake has reached 200 thousand people.
