According to the press service, the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, met the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic, Ahmet Davutoglu.

According to the press service, A. Davutoglu during the meeting noted that two countries reached the arrangement that the Turkish embassies in the third countries, where there are no Kazakhstan diplomatic missions, will represent the interests of the citizens of Kazakhstan and that Kazakhstan and Turkey plan to extend the period of visa stay of the citizens of Kazakhstan in Turkey and the Turkish citizens in Kazakhstan from one month up to about three months.

The Turkish Minister informed that the agreements will be signed in May, 2010 during the visit to Kazakhstan of the President of the Turkish Republic, Abdulla Gul.

"We came to an agreement that the secretariat of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking states, initiated in Nahchyvan by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, will be located in Istanbul. The Turkic Academy will be opened in Kazakhstan," Foreign Minister said.

Turkey also intends to promote carrying out of the summit of the heads of the OSCE member states in Astana and to actively cooperate with Kazakhstan in all international organizations.
