Korean President suggests developing projects of cooperation in energy and transport areas

The President of Korea, Lee Myung-bak, suggested today during Kazakhstan-Korean business-forum developing projects of cooperation in energy, information and transport areas, the agency reports.

Astana. May 13. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Korea, Lee Myung-bak, suggested today during Kazakhstan-Korean business-forum developing projects of cooperation in energy, information and transport areas, the agency reports.

"I would like our countries to cooperate in the field of energy, information technologies, and transport," Lee Myung-bak said.

"Cooperation in energy area does not simply mean cooperation in the field of natural resources but assumes development of projects on creation of various infrastructures, including creation of the network of deliveries of energy carriers."

"Korea possesses excellent technologies in the field of construction, management of atomic power stations, and construction of electric mains, therefore, if we join these three technologies with the energy resources of Kazakhstan, it will give big effect," he emphasized.

"The project of creation of transport belt will lead to innovations in transport area, including navigation, air and railway communications."
