Masimov discussed prospects of participation of Kazakhstan in World Organization for Animal Health

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov discussed the questions connected with participation of Kazakhstan in OIE activity with the representatives of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) headed by the General Director Bernard Vallat, the agency reports referring to the press service of Kazakhstan government.

Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov discussed the questions connected with participation of Kazakhstan in OIE activity with the representatives of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) headed by the General Director Bernard Vallat, the agency reports referring to the press service of Kazakhstan government.

According to the press service, during the meeting on Thursday, the Prime Minister acquainted the interlocutors with the structure of the National veterinary service of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its role in maintenance of epizootic well-being on the territory of the Republic and safety of cattle-breeding production.

"K. Masimov noted that coordination and assistance within the OIE give Kazakhstan additional opportunities for development of the system of veterinary science so as to conform it to international standards," the press service widespread, following the results of the meeting, informs.

The interlocutors discussed the prospects of participation of Kazakhstan in OIE activity, in particular, an opportunity of organization and carrying out of the international conferences and meetings for the European and Central Asian countries in Kazakhstan.

The Prime Minister noted that the problems touched upon during the meeting will promote formation of the correct strategy and tactics in the sphere of veterinary prior to WTO introduction.
