Russia ratified amendments to Agreement on Legal Status of the CSTO

The Russian Federation ratified amendments to the Agreement on Legal Status of the CSTO of October, 7, 2002, the agency reports citing the Kremlin press service.

Almaty. May 8. Kazakhstan Today - The Russian Federation ratified amendments to the Agreement on Legal Status of the CSTO of October, 7, 2002, the agency reports citing the Kremlin press service.

The Russian President signed Federal Law on Ratification of Protocol on introduction of amendments and additions to the Agreement on Legal Status of the CSTO of October, 7, 2002," the press service informs.

The Federal Law was passed by the State Duma on April, 24, 2009 and approved by the Council of Federation on April, 29, 2009.

As informed earlier, the President of Kazakhstan signed the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ratification of the Protocol on introduction of amendments and additions to the Agreement on Legal Status of the CSTO of October, 7, 2002 in October, 2008.

The CSTO includes Armenia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
