President of Kazakhstan receives U.S. congressmen

Astana. July 3. Kazakhstan Today - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev received U.S. Congressmen Dan Burton and Gregory Meeks On Monday in Astana, Kazakhstan Today reports.

"I greet you in Kazakhstan. For the entire twenty years of independence, we are actively cooperating with the United States in all areas of our relationship. In the following year after declaring independence, I visited your country, where I met with U.S. President George Bush senior. Together, we discussed various issues of support the establishment of an independent Kazakhstan, including the issues of nuclear disarmament - as you know we had a large arsenal of nuclear weapons and nuclear testing ground. Since then, it took many years, much has changed in the world - we have become known and respected country. Today we are a developed enough country and the goal is to enter the number of developed countries by 2020-2025", the President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

In 2011 the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the United States totaled $ 2.74 billion, 26% increase over 2010.
