Junior Eurovision 2018: Khabar Agency launches shortlisting

Today Khabat Agency starts Republican shortlisting for participating in the international song contest Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

The applicant has to fill online form, download the sing, photos, scanned version of the birth certification, parents’ appreciation and doc confirmed the authorship of the song.

Bands including up to six members are permitted for the participation too. The requirements are the same.

September 7, 2018, Khabar Agency will announce finalists who passed the first stage of the Republican selection. And on September 23 they will perform at the gala concert which will be broadcasted on Khabar TV channel. Audience televoting will determine the winner.

Following the Republican selection, the winner will start preparation for the finals, which will be held on November 25, 2018, in Minsk, Belarus. Preparation of the participant for the contest in Minsk is handled by the Khabar Agency.

The contest will unite record number of countries-participants for the whole time of the Junior Eurovision: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, France, Macedonia, Georgia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Netherlands, Wales. 2018 debutants are Kazakhstan and Wales.

To recap, The European Broadcast Union declared Kazakhstan became a participant of Junior Eurovision – 2018. It should be noted the European Broadcast Union okayed Kazakhstan’s bid for the participation in the contest. The participant of 2018 will be the first who represent the country at the song prestigious contest. The exclusive right to broadcast the event is given to Khabar TV Channel – an associated member of the European Broadcasting Union.
