Kazakhstan home market to be protected from import of unsafe automobiles

Kazakhstan home market will be protected from import of unsafe foreign automobiles after Euro-2,4,5 standards come into force. The chairman of the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of Kazakhstan, Gabit Muhambetov, informed at the expanded session of the Advisory Council on Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the agency reports.

Astana. April 16. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan home market will be protected from import of unsafe foreign automobiles after Euro-2,4,5 standards come into force. The chairman of the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of Kazakhstan, Gabit Muhambetov, informed at the expanded session of the Advisory Council on Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the agency reports.

"After acceptance of the technical rules, such as Euro-2,4,5, which will come into force on July, 15th, 2009, we will be able to protect our home market from unsafe, poor-quality, out-of-date foreign automobiles," G. Muhambetov said.
