Space vehicle Meteor-M delivered to Baikonur
Almaty. July 24. Kazakhstan Today - The space vehicle Meteor-M has been delivered to Baikonur, the agency reports citing the press service of the center Yujny.
According to the press service, the AN-124-100 plane Ruslan of Volga-Dnepr airline landed at 16.25 local time at the airport Yubileyny of cosmodrome Baikonur, which delivered to the cosmodrome the space satellite Meteor-M.
As informed earlier, Souz-2 carrier rocket with five small satellites Meteor-M are planned to be launched in the middle of 2009.
The satellite Meteor-M, weighting 2700 kg, is intended for transfer of meteorological information from the height of 830 kilometers to the landing stations.
