Almaty. August 10. Kazakhstan Today - The chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Grigory Marchenko, does not exclude the third phase of the crisis in Kazakhstan, but considers it unlikely, the agency reports.

According to G. Marchenko, Kazakhstan has passed the bottom of the second phase of the crisis. "If it is the last phase, everything will be all right," he said. Nevertheless, the chairman of the National Bank considers the third phase of the crisis in Kazakhstan is improbable, but theoretically possible.

"The third phase of the crisis in Kazakhstan is possible if the prices for oil decrease up to $30 per barrel and lower and will be at this level within more than six months," the head of the National Bank explained.

"As a whole, the situation in the economy of Kazakhstan will be defined in many respects depending on succession of events in the world markets, therefore, it is difficult to say whether we need to expect the consequences of the world financial crisis," he noted.
