BP needs $1.25 billion to cover expenses to liquidate consequences of accident in Gulf of Mexico

British Petroleum will need $1.25 billion to liquidate the consequences of the accident in the Gulf of Mexico, the agency reports citing the press service of RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

Almaty. June 8. Kazakhstan Today - British Petroleum will need $1.25 billion to liquidate the consequences of the accident in the Gulf of Mexico, the agency reports citing the press service of RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

According to RBC, this sum includes expenses for liquidation of oil spill and oil gathering, drilling of unloading wells, compensation to the coastal American states, settlement of claims, and payment to the American government. This sum does not include $360 million, which the company will direct to realization of the project of construction of protecting artificial islands near Louisiana.
