Charges of sexual harassment against Kazakh student dropped
Astana. September 23. Kazakhstan Today - Charges of sexual harassment against the Kazakhstan student in the USA, Zhandos Bahytbekov, in relation to two 11-year-old girls, have been dropped. The official representative of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Askar Abdrahmanov, informed, the agency reports.
"The Consulate General of Kazakhstan in New York informed that all charges against Zhandos Bahytbekov, a citizen of Kazakhstan, have been dropped. Yesterday, he was returned his bail and passport. Now he is free and has the right to leave, in particular, the territory of the USA," A. Abdrahmanov informed.
He said that "charges have been dropped due to insufficient proof."
As informed earlier, a 20-year-old student from Kazakhstan was arrested in the USA for harassment of two 11-year-old girls. The incident occurred at the Magic Forest amusement park in the Lake George Town, the State of New York. The police arrested a 20-year-old Kazakhstan student, Zhandos Bahytbekuly, after it received the information that he "inappropriately touched children at the Magic Forest amusement park."
"This young man was an employee of the entertainment park. He worked for this place for only one and a half months," The Post Star informed.
