According to the Institute of Seismology of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic was hit by K=11.8 earthquake on May, 12 at 04.58. "The earthquake's epicenter was in 430 kilometers to the southwest from Almaty," the press service of the Ministry of Emergency informed.
According to the department, 2 - 3 magnitude tremors, according to MSK-64 scale, were felt in Taraz.
