Kazakhstan ratified framework agreement with European Investment Bank

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed the law on ratification of the Framework Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Investment Bank, regulating the work of the European Investment Bank in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

Astana. November 2. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed the law on ratification of the Framework Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Investment Bank, regulating the work of the European Investment Bank in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

As informed earlier, the founders of the bank are all members of the European Union. The authorized capital totals 164.8 billion euro. The European Investment Bank has the highest credit rating (ААА) in the long-term loan capital market. Thereupon, the Republic of Kazakhstan is interested in cooperation with the bank. Kazakhstan will have a possibility to involve long-term and inexpensive credit resources.

The agreement will come into force the next day after the bank confirms receipt from the Kazakhstan government of the certified copy of the ratification document.

The agreement was signed in Brussels on April 10, 2010.
