Foreign Minister met with foreign Ambassadors

Astana. June 1. Kazakhstan Today – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kasyzhomart Tokayev held a number of meetings with foreign Ambassadors accredited in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, Kazakhstan MFA press service reports.

On May 31, FM met with Ambassador of People’s Republic of China, Azerbaijan Latif Gandilov and Kyrgyzstan Zhumagul Saadanbekov.

At the meeting with Chinese diplomat, the parties discussed questions on upcoming SCO Summit in Shanghai.

The questions on bilateral cooperation in the context of the forthcoming visit of Kyrgyz President Kurambek Bakiyev to Kazakhstan in June 2006 were discussed at the meeting with Kyrgyz diplomat.

In the course of the meeting with Azeri Ambassador, the parties discussed issues on preparation for ministerial session of Islamic Conference Organization in Baku.

K. Tokayev also met with re-appointed Ambassador of Republic of San Marino to Kazakhstan Roberto Di Serio.

Kazakh FM congratulated the Ambassador with new appointment and discussed questions on cooperation through international organizations.

On May 30, Foreign Minister met with Indian Ambassador Ashok Mukerji and discussed the organization of the second CICMA Summit and the Ambassador of European Commission Adrian Van Der Meyer to discuss cooperation between Kazakhstan and EU.
