In Almaty it is planned to erect a large trade and entertainment complex Happy Land that corresponds to the standards of famous Disnayland.
Regional Director of the representation office JSC National Company KAZAKH INVEST in Almaty Zhandos Orazaliyev told that the decision of the investors was expected. To construct such a facility, the amount of 200 million dollars is needed.
The project is very interesting in terms of the scale, in order to erect such a facility corresponding to the standards as Disnayland and other world brands, the work to attract investors in carried out. As everyone knows, to this moment, we have held talks with Qatar, the state of Emirates, but the investors have not taken the final decision. We hold additional work to attract investors," said Orazaliyev.
As of today, the investor of the project, the name of whom is not announced, held the necessary work, as well as the Memorandum with Almaty region to allocate a land was signed.
In their turns, a business concept and technical and economic foundations are ready. The project is ready for being implemented after the agreement of the investors. We cannot press the investors in order to make them to take the decision. We wait for the results, at the same time hold talks with other investors," said the speaker.
And, it is still not decided where future Happy Land will be located.
There are two initiators of the project. One of them opts for the territory of Almaty, and another opts for the territory near Almaty. It is a large trade and entertainment centre, it will include not onlyty trade facilities, but also hotels, it will be a large centre of attraction," said Orazaliyev.
The estimated area of the project is about 198 hectares.
We note that earlier Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakh Tourism Rashid Kuzembayev told that a Disnay park with Kazakh features would be opened in Almaty region.
