Ministry of Health proposed financing of plan on non-admission of spread of A (H1N1) influenza

The Ministry of Health has made proposals on financing of the comprehensive plan on non-admission of spread of A (H1N1) influenza in the territory of Kazakhstan. The chairman of the Committee for State Sanitary-and-Epidemiological Supervision, Anatoly Belonog, informed during the press conference in the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Astana. May 6. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Health has made proposals on financing of the comprehensive plan on non-admission of spread of A (H1N1) influenza in the territory of Kazakhstan. The chairman of the Committee for State Sanitary-and-Epidemiological Supervision, Anatoly Belonog, informed during the press conference in the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"The Ministry of Health needs 1 million 850 thousand KZT for purchase of indispensable diagnostic preparations - test-systems for the express train-diagnostics of influenza A (H1N1) for the republican sanitary-and-epidemiologic station.

Anatoly Belonog informed there are no cases of influenza A (H1N1) and bird's flu have been registered in Kazakhstan.

According to A. Belonog, as of May, 5th of 2009, World Health Organization (WHO) officially informed on 1085 cases of laboratory confirmed influenza A (H1N1) in 21 countries, including 26 lethal outcomes. The authorities of Portugal have confirmed the first case of influenza A (H1N1) in its territory. Spain has confirmed 54 cases, 11 patients have been hospitalized. Two new cases have been revealed in France.
