In Astana, head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev has launched the Astana Hub international technopark of IT startups.
"Dear attendees, today we open Astana Hub, which is an important event not only for us, Kazakhstan's digital world but for everyone. I urge everyone to actively partake in developing innovations and I hope that Astana Hub will serve a springboard for companies towards global visibility. I am convinced that by joining efforts we will quickly and effectively reach all tasks set. And our tasks are well-known and obvious, and we, Kazakhstan, should keep up with the entire world. If we miss the train moving very fast, we will fall behind other states. The USSR was a catching-up country, and it can become even worse. But we do not want this," said Nursultan Nazarbayev addressing to the attendees.
The President underlined that today Kazakhstan is an advanced country in the Post-Soviet space in terms of speed of reforms, and development paces, and following the economy per capita.
"We have all possibilities: financial, technical, educational. Let's work on it. I rely on our youth that will move our state to advanced positions of the new technological era. I wish everyone success," said the head of state.
The President noted that digitalization became one of the key factors in the development of the country's competitiveness. Such groupings as G20 and the European Union have adopted points regarding digitalization in their strategic documents. They invest serious resources to develop digital sectors and they prove their effectiveness.
Nazarbayev underlined that Kazakhstan also conducts a comprehensive work in this area.
The Astana Hub international technopark of It startups is Kazakhstan's equivalent of Silicon Valley. The Park's territory includes lecture halls, sites for startups, auditoriums, labs, conference halls, offices of digital companies and international partners.
Note that 2018 Digital Bridge Forum started its work yesterday, where tens of Kazakh and international speakers made their speeches.
