Kazakhstan sportsman, Aset Mambetov, won bronze prize in Beijing Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling in weight class of up to 96 kg, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

Astana. August 15. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan sportsman, Aset Mambetov, won bronze prize in Beijing Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling in weight class of up to 96 kg, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

A. Mambetov in Beijing Olympic Games in the first fight was defeated by Russian sportsman, Aslanbek Kushtov (10:0). In the first consolatory fight he won the Italian sportsman, Timoncini Daigoro, (4:0). In the second fight he won the Lithuanian, Ezerskis Mindaugas, (5:4). In the third fight of the consolatory round for a bronze medal he finished the round with the sportsman from Czechia and won in two fights: the first with the score 1:0 and the second - 5:0, the press service informed.

Aset Mambetov was born on June 10, 1982. He is the master of sports of Kazakhstan in Greco-Roman wrestling. He has won numerous championships and International Grand Prix tournament series. He is trained by Marat Tyrlyhanov and Zhanabay Ospanov.
