Almaty. February 14. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan is to be producing new Skoda cars. Ust-Kamenogorsk will rearrange its greater production cycle to replace the ongoing assembling of ready-made parts.

A corresponding statement was made during a meeting featuring the Deputy Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan, Asset Issekeshev, and the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Martin Cuba, Caspionet reports.

Currently, Kazakhstan is home to 80 joint enterprises, while the trade turnover between the two countries has increased by 67,5 % over the past year. However, this rate may rise higher due to some new projects, which are to be established by Kazakh and Czech entrepreneurs. The priority sectors include tourism, machine-building and alternative energy.

"We have agreed to jointly develop such industrial sectors as railway engineering, establishment of joint enterprises in the oil and gas sector, mining, as well as such promising areas as wind, hydro, and solar energy," said Meiram Pshembayev, Kazakh MP.

"We follow the growth of Kazakhstan's economy and positively evaluate the measures, which are being taken by the Government of Kazakhstan to support the industrial cluster. We are ready to share our techniques with you and train your specialists. We offer you to look into expanding our cooperation in petrochemistry in the Czech Republic. Our economies are complementary. I think we have some prospects of long-lasting cooperation," said Martin Cuba, Czech Minister of Industry and Trade.
