World prices for oil decreased on August 6

The world prices for oil, following the results of the tenders on Friday, August 6, 2010, decreased in the background of the new data of Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry of Labor of the USA, according to which the number of workplaces in nonagricultural branches of economy has decreased by 131 thousand and total number of the unemployed in the USA in July amounted to 14.6 million people.

Kazakhstan Today - The world prices for oil, following the results of the tenders on Friday, August 6, 2010, decreased in the background of the new data of Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry of Labor of the USA, according to which the number of workplaces in nonagricultural branches of economy has decreased by 131 thousand and total number of the unemployed in the USA in July amounted to 14.6 million people.

The cost of the September future contract (settle) of North Sea oil of Brent Crude Oil, following the results of the tenders, decreased on August 6 from $81.61 to $80.16 per barrel at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).

The official price of the September future contract (settle) on delivery of oil of Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) has decreased from $82.01 to $80.70 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

The cost of OPEC oil basket went down on August 4 from $78.88 to $78.69 per barrel. In July, 2010, the cost of OPEC oil has on the average amounted to $72.42 per barrel.
