World prices for oil went down on November 23

The prices for oil in the world markets on Tuesday, November 23, decreased in the background of concerns of investors that debt crisis in Europe may increase and confrontation between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and South Korea. The market tendencies were affected by the US dollar rate increase as compared to the euro.

Kazakhstan Today - The prices for oil in the world markets on Tuesday, November 23, decreased in the background of concerns of investors that debt crisis in Europe may increase and confrontation between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and South Korea. The market tendencies were affected by the US dollar rate increase as compared to the euro.

The official cost of the December futures contract (settlement) of North Sea Brent Crude at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) within the last trading day went down on November 23 from $83.96 to $83.25 per barrel.

The official cost of the December futures contract (settlement) on the American Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) within the last trading day decreased from $81.74 to $81.25 per barrel.

The price of the OPEC Reference Basket on November 22 decreased from $81.41 up to $80.96 per barrel.
