World prices for oil went up on November 24

The prices for oil in the world markets on Tuesday, November 24, increased to a week maximum in the background of increase in consumer activity, following the results of last month, the decrease in quantity of demand for unemployment benefit last week in the USA, and due to weakening of the US dollar.

Kazakhstan Today - The prices for oil in the world markets on Tuesday, November 24, increased to a week maximum in the background of increase in consumer activity, following the results of last month, the decrease in quantity of demand for unemployment benefit last week in the USA, and due to weakening of the US dollar.

The official cost of the December futures contract (settlement) on the American Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) within the last trading day increased from $81.25 to $83.86 per barrel.

The price of the OPEC Reference Basket on November 23 decreased from $80.96 up to $80.14 per barrel.
