Turkey suggests Kazakhstan signing preferential trade agreement

The State Minister of Turkey, Zafer Caglayan, suggested signing the agreement on preferential trade between Turkey and Kazakhstan on Monday, after the meeting in Ankara with the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan, Aset Isekeshev, the agency reports citing the Turkish information resource World Bulletin.

Kazakhstan Today - The State Minister of Turkey, Zafer Caglayan, suggested signing the agreement on preferential trade between Turkey and Kazakhstan on Monday, after the meeting in Ankara with the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan, Aset Isekeshev, the agency reports citing the Turkish information resource World Bulletin.

According to the State Minister, Turkey and Kazakhstan can cooperate on more than 80 positions.

"We have created a permanently operating mechanism between Turkey and Kazakhstan. Our two ministries will work as an independent ministry," Z. Chaglayan said.

"We intend to create the Turkish private industrial zone and the zone of free trade in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus have created the Customs Union and the market of three countries has a total number of population of 170 million people," Z. Chaglayan said.

"We have suggested A. Isekeshev to sign the agreement with Turkey on preferential trade," Z. Chaglayan informed.

Z. Chaglayan informed that his meeting with A. Isekeshev and the delegation accompanying him took place as a preparatory meeting for the forthcoming visit of the President of Turkey, Abdulla Gul, to Kazakhstan on May 24-25.
