IIN to replace SNN and TIN
Almaty. February 11. Kazakhstan Today - Individual Identification Number (IIN) in the future will completely replace Taxation Identification Number (TIN) and Social Security Number (SNN). The chief of Justice Department of Almaty, Bagban Taimbetov, informed in the newspaper Vremya, the agency reports.
B. Taimbetov underlined, "In the future, the state plans to use only IIN in everyday life."
As informed earlier, SNN and TIN will be cancelled in Kazakhstan. "These documents will be unnecessary for the Kazakhstan citizens in half a year. IIN - individual identification number will replace them. It will not be possible to marry or to receive a job without it," television channel KTK informed.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan, "The majority of the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan already have IIN's as they have been printed in their identification cards since August, 1997."

Oil spill detected in Caspian Sea
According to space monitoring data, received from Sentinel-1A (02:43 UTC), an oil spill was detected on March 30 in the area of Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea. The spill area is about 7 square kilometers. The spill was drifting to the north of the Caspian Sea," the publication reads.
If these facts are confirmed by Atyrau region’s Ecology Department, unscheduled inspection will be conducted at the North Caspian Operating Company. The results will be reported additionally," the Ecology Committee says.
