Construction of railway lines Zhezkazgan - Beineu and Arkalyk - Shubarkol starts

Astana. July 4. Kazakhstan Today - On Thursday during a national teleconference with the participation of the President announced the launch of construction of two railway lines Zhezkazgan - Beineu and Arkalyk-Shubarkol, Kazakhstan Today reports.

The main objective of the project Zhezkazgan - Beineu is the continuation of the shortest rail route from central Kazakhstan to the Persian Gulf countries, which will create new industries in the region, allow to reduce tariffs for rail transportation and to reduce the transportation component of transported goods, the website of the Prime Minister informed.

The new road will significantly improve the socio-economic development of districts UlytauIrgiz, Aral, Shalkar Bayganin and Beineu. The length of the railway line will be 988 kilometers. About 11 thousand people will be employed during the construction works.

Construction of the railway will provide a way out of the Center of Kazakhstan to Russia and western European countries, which will increase the market competitiveness of products in the region.

During the operation the planned volume of traffic will be: in 2015 - 5.8 million tons, in 2018 - 7.2 million tons, in 2023 - 8.6 million tons. Operating stuff of the new railway line will include 572 people. In the course of construction it is planned to build 11 bridges, 37 culverts, 3 cross-overs, and to lay 214 kilometers of main road and 24 km of station tracks, to build 199 kilometers of lines and 267 kilometers of the outer lines of the longitudinal power.
