10 people injured in Chinese island Taiwan earthquake
Almaty. March 4. Kazakhstan Today - 10 people have been injured today on the Chinese island Taiwan as a result of 6.4-magnitude earthquake under the Richter scale, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.
According to the news agency, the 6.4-magnitude tremors under the Richter scale were felt this morning on the whole island. The earthquake caused an electricity black out and stopped high-speed trains. There were some cases of fire and landslips in the mountain areas. A number of houses and constructions have been damaged.
The epicenter of the earthquake has been registered by the seismologists in 43 kilometers from the city Pindun in the southern district Pindun.
